We are Gay Pride Apparel, a NYC-based brand founded in 2019 by Jesus & Sergio, two first-generation Mexican-Americans and proud members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Our mission is simple: empower and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community every single day—not just in June. We create high-quality apparel and accessories that champion authenticity, empowerment, and pride year-round.

The idea was born during Pride 2018 in New York City, when we saw the rainbow streets washed away on July 1st. That moment made us realize: Pride shouldn’t disappear after one month. From our small apartment launch to shipping over 65,000 orders worldwide, we’ve grown into a global community of over 100,000 humans.

More than a shop, Gay Pride Apparel is a movement—built on visibility, inclusivity, and the belief that Pride is every day.

Hey there! We're Jesus (on the right) and Sergio (on the left), the dynamic duo behind Gay Pride Apparel.

From our humble beginnings as best friends since 6th grade in Phoenix, Arizona, to embarking on separate college journeys, and eventually falling in love and moving chase our dreams in the vibrant streets of New York City.

Our journey to creating Gay Pride Apparel began with a simple yet profound moment during Pride 2018 in New York City. Witnessing pride being washed away from the sidewalks on July 1st left a lasting impression on us. It was then that we realized the need for a space where people could embrace their pride every day of the year.

In January 2019, fueled by passion and determination, we officially brought Gay Pride Apparel to life. What started as a small endeavor with a monumental mission has surpassed our wildest expectations.

Today, we stand proudly, knowing that our little shop has become a beacon of empowerment and celebration for the LGBTQ+ community worldwide. And it's all thanks to the unwavering support of incredible individuals like you.

The Story

Gay Pride Apparel was founded in early 2019 from a deep desire to create a space where queer individuals could find clothing that truly reflected their identities. The idea took root during Pride 2018 in New York City, when seeing the remnants of the celebration washed away by rain highlighted the need for a more permanent expression of pride. We launched our online store in January 2019 from a small apartment, investing our savings in a vibrant inventory. Orders quickly poured in, and with growing community support, our venture gained traction. Despite the challenges, our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community remained strong. We’ve shipped over 65,000 orders globally, received recognition in various publications, and created a space where pride is celebrated every day. Our journey, sparked by a profound moment at Pride 2018, continues to drive our dedication to visibility and inclusivity.

At Gay Pride Apparel, we're committed to giving back to the LGBTQ+ community in every way we can. We mostly donate via fundraising campaigns and collaborations with non-profits. Additionally, we sponsor up to 2 non-profit events every year.

At this time, we do not have any in-person opportunities. We only sell our merch here on gayprideapparel.com.
