A guide to explain LGBTQ+ to a 5 year old

LGBTQ+ is a group of letters that stand for different types of people who love and care about others in a special way.

L means people who love other people who are the same gender as them.

G means people who love other people who are the opposite gender as them.

B means people who love both boys and girls.

T means people who feel like they are not the same gender as they were born.

Q means people who are not sure yet, or people who don't want to say one of the other letters.

The "+" means there are other types of people who are also part of this group and we want to include everyone, no matter what.

So, LGBTQ+ is a group of different types of people who love and care about others in a special way, and we want to include everyone in this group, no matter what.
