Welcome to The Queer Generation by GPA

Welcome isn't the right word. Welcome implies you weren't already here.

You've always been here. Dancing in basements that smelled like PBR and possibility. Crying in cars because the radio finally played something that felt like you. Falling in love on apps designed to commodify your loneliness. Raising hell in group chats at 2am because something happened in the news and nobody else gets it like the people in this thread.

The Queer Generation isn't a magazine. It's not a brand. It's not a content vertical. It's a place we built because we kept looking for one and kept finding things that didn't quite fit.

Gay Pride Apparel launched in 2019 with a simple premise: visibility matters, and it should be stylish. But somewhere along the way, we realized there was something we wanted to say that didn't fit on a T-shirt. Something longer. Something messier. Something more honest.

So here we are.

TQG is for every queer person who's ever felt like the version of this community being sold back to them wasn't quite right. For the people at the edges of the acronym. For the ones who've been in the movement for decades and the ones who just figured themselves out. For allies who want to actually understand, not just feel good about themselves. For every queer person who's ever thought: someone should write about this.

That someone is us. And also you.

We'll be covering the things that matter — the politics, the pop culture, the history we were never taught, the futures we're building anyway. We'll be honest when things are hard and celebratory when things are good. We'll argue with each other sometimes. That's part of it.

This is The Queer Generation. You're not a guest. You live here.

The Queer Generation

The Queer Generation is GPA's editorial home for the stories, legislation, and conversations shaping queer life right now. Intersectional by default. Opinionated when it counts. Built for everyone the movement belongs to.
